Looking Up

Your Wellbeing Starts With You

At Looking Up we are dedicated to helping people embrace their authentic selves and nurture personal growth.  We recognise that life can be challenging and that pain is an unfortunate, albeit universal, human experience.

We provide counselling and therapeutic interventions, advocacy, and coaching supports for a wide range of concerns.

We strongly advocate for the role of counselling in supporting people through such difficulties and use effective, evidence-based methods to help people effect real, impactful change and tangible results.

We prioritize the importance of having access to resources for mental and emotional well-being, and emphasize the value of seeking professional help and guidance when necessary.  We provide both telehealth and mobile face to face counselling.

Think of us as like having a counsellor in your back pocket. We are here, ready for you to access support and guidance whenever and wherever it may be needed.

Our vision

Our vision is to empower individuals and families by fostering resilience, promoting self-awareness, and guiding personal growth.

We strive to create a safe, compassionate, and inclusive space where all people feel heard, valued, and supported in their journey toward mental health and well-being.

Through evidence-based practices, continuous learning, and a strong commitment to our clients, we aim to reduce stigma, nurture connections, heal trauma, and inspire positive change for a healthier and more harmonious world.

Our team

We are compassionate and dedicated counsellors and social workers who believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to feel heard, supported, and empowered in their journey toward wellbeing. We recognise that life can be complex and, at times, overwhelming, and that experiencing pain is an unfortunate, if natural, part of being human. Our role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, understanding, and practical support as you navigate life’s challenges.

We work with individuals across all life stages and backgrounds, supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, stress, and personal growth. Our approaches are grounded in evidence-based practices, drawing from modalities such as trauma-focused therapies, EMDR, cognitive and behavioural approaches, and DIR Floortime, strengths-based, solution-focused techniques to create meaningful and lasting change.

We are passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. We value authenticity and aim to help you reconnect with your strengths, build resilience, and develop practical tools to support your wellbeing.

Whether you are seeking support during a difficult time or looking to better understand yourself and grow, we are here to support you, wherever you are in your journey.

We hold memberships with the Australian Counselling Association, the Australian Association of Social Workers, and the Queensland College of Teachers.

We recognize and acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of Australia, custodians of the land, water, and community on which we work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging for their keeping of the memories and continuation of language, culture, and history. We recognize their connection to Country and their role in caring for and maintaining Country over thousands of years. May their strength and wisdom be with us and guide us into the future.
